4 eggs
1 teaspoon sugar, optional
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk

maple syrup
- Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl. Beat lightly.
- Stir in sugar, salt, and milk.
- Soak the bread in the mixture. Turn to soak all sides.
- Over medium-low heat, heat the pan coated with a thin layer of butter.
- Transfer the soaked bread to the pan, heating slowly until bottom is golden brown.
- Turn and brown the other side.
Serve hot with butter and syrup.
